Three things make a cartridge easy to match.
Some pros know these parts by rote, others don't. We help either way. What actually decides whether we can name the part is the photo, so it is worth the extra thirty seconds at the valve.

- Tape measure or ruler in the frame
- Whole part visible, plain background
Still in the wall, no measurement, or partial views. We usually can't ID these, and it costs you a second trip to the valve.

What to include

One clear shot of the whole part on a flat surface. If it came out in pieces, lay every piece out together and shoot them in one frame.
A tape measure or ruler in the frame is best. No tape handy? A standard credit card is 3.37 inches long, so eyeball it against one and tell us the number.
