How it works

From the fixture to your shop, in four steps.

One-off repairs or bulk orders across buildings run through the same desk. You send photos, a specialist does the identifying, and the part shows up at your school.

01

Snap photos at the fixture

Pull the part. Set it next to a ruler. Send it.

A few photos from your phone is the whole submission, and it takes about a minute. No part number to look up first, and no need to know what you are holding.

02

A specialist confirms the match

A real person, not a lookup table.

Someone who reads these parts for a living reviews your photos, asks the right questions, and posts an itemized quote, usually within an hour. Step away and keep working the rest of your list. We text you when it is ready.

03

Approve the quote, then pay

Nothing is charged until you say so.

The written quote comes first. Pay by card, or route the invoice to your business office. Either way a paid receipt is emailed for your records.

04

Delivered to your school

Direct to the front office or the shop.

Aftermarket parts from our trusted suppliers ship direct to your school, with tracking posted to your order. You pick the shipping speed that fits the work order at checkout.

Why facilities teams use it

A school building is not a house. Fixtures stay in service for twenty, thirty, forty years, long past the point where the manufacturer still lists the part. The markings wear off. The line gets discontinued. The person who installed it retired.

So the work order sits. Somebody photographs the part and sends it around. Somebody else calls a supply house, then another one. Meanwhile the sink is out of service and the ticket ages.

CartridgeID takes that whole step off your plate. You pull the part, photograph it at the fixture, and a specialist confirms the exact replacement, quotes it in writing, and ships it to your school. Some maintenance techs know the common cartridges cold and just want them sourced and shipped. Others hit a fifty-year-old valve stem with nothing legible on it. Both go through the same desk.

Works the same whether it came out of a classroom sink or a locker room wall: faucet cartridges and shower and tub valve cartridges are both handled here. If you want the detail, here is exactly how we read a cartridge.

What you get

Tricky parts are the specialty

Schools run fixtures for decades. Discontinued, unmarked, and worn parts from classroom sinks, locker rooms, and kitchen lines are exactly what we identify. Already know the part? Even faster.

Rebuild kits, not just cartridges

Seats, springs, and gaskets in one kit, so the fixture gets fully rebuilt in one visit instead of failing again next semester.

One faucet or a whole wing

Order a single part or bulk quantities across buildings, all on one quote.

Order history built in

Every order is saved to your account. Reorder a past part in a couple of taps, no photos needed the second time.

Real support, the whole way

You chat directly with the specialist working your order and get text updates at every step.

Can you give me the quote on the 3 rebuild kits. I think I am going to go that route and replace it all.

Questions from purchasing

What districts ask us first

Can you send an invoice to our business office?+

Yes. Inside the ticket you can route the quote to your business office, purchasing department, or supervisor to pay. The paid receipt is emailed to them and to you, and the order stays in your account history either way.

Do you provide a W-9 and vendor paperwork?+

Yes. W-9 and vendor onboarding paperwork are available on request. Email orders@cartridgeid.com and we will send what your purchasing department needs to set us up as a vendor.

Do we get a written quote before anything is charged?+

Always. A specialist posts an itemized written quote to your ticket and nothing is charged until you approve it. If the price does not work, you are under no obligation to order.

Can we order for several buildings on one quote?+

Yes. Order a single cartridge for one classroom sink or bulk quantities across multiple buildings, all itemized on the same quote. Bulk quantities for regular customers get volume-friendly pricing. Tell us your typical volume at orders@cartridgeid.com and we will set you up.

Our fixtures are decades old and the parts are unmarked. Can you still identify them?+

That is the specialty. Schools run fixtures far longer than homes do, so discontinued, unmarked, and heavily worn parts are routine here. Send the photos even if there is no legible marking left on the part.

Should we order rebuild kits or just the cartridge?+

Ask the specialist in your ticket and they will quote both. A rebuild kit brings the seats, springs, and gaskets along with the cartridge so the fixture gets fully rebuilt in one visit instead of coming back on the work order next semester.

Do we need an account, and does it cost anything?+

You need a free account, which is what keeps your order history, saved shipping addresses, and reorders attached to your school. There are no account fees, no minimums, and no subscription. You pay per order, only for the parts you approve.

How do we handle summer shutdown work?+

Send the photos as you survey the buildings and we will quote the whole list together. Getting identifications done ahead of the shutdown window means the parts are on the shelf when your crew starts, rather than being sourced mid-project.
